This is textile art! Needle felted/waxed bread and cheeses. My charcuterie board ( 16" x 12") comes with a wooden board, three different pieces of cheese (14" in diameter), three olives, half of a fig and a loaf of bread (14" long). This piece was needle felted from wool and sculpted with wax. Each element was indiviurally needle felted into it's shape, using the exact color combinations of wool, bee's wax is applied in layers and each layer is sculpted to achieve the right texture.

Needle felting is the sculpture of raw wool with special needles. Fine details and a strong structure can be accomplished with needle felting.
